Marcie Chambers PhD

CEO & Founder

Dr. Marcie Chambers received her PhD in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She was in private practice for a number of years, treating clients for depression, anxiety, trauma, codependency and addiction. Her practice included treating individuals, couples, and families. Dr. Chambers taught psychology at the University of Colorado, Regis University and Metro State College. Dr. Chambers opened The Rose House in Boulder County, Colorado in 2008.

Medical Director

Dr. William received his medical degree from University of Benin College of Medicine. He was Chief Resident at the University at Harlem Hospital Center, College of Physicians & Surgeons of Columbia. Dr. William is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, board certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM) and Member of the Colorado Psychiatric Society.

Ann grew up in an Army family, traveling the world – including spending two years in India.  She was enamored with different cultures and was interested in psychology from an early age.  After her family settled in Virginia, she received her BA in Psychology from William and Mary and then her MSW from Adelphi University.  New York, Chicago and Atlanta were home before moving to Lafayette, CO in 1999, where Ann and her husband raised their two daughters.

     

Ann has spent her professional life working for organizations providing intensive treatment services to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use issues.  She enjoys the business development and customer service aspects as well as the clinical and systems aspects of the field and is passionate about creating an engaging, professional and supportive environment for staff and clients.  Since 1990 she has worked in psychiatric hospitals and substance abuse treatment centers in a variety of roles including Business Development Liaison, Director of Outpatient Services, Director of Intake, Service Excellence Trainer and Clinical Director.

  

Ann loves God, family, skiing, reading/writing, a good sense of humor and incredible friends!

Stepdown House Manager/ Therapist

Jen received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she was a cheerleader for three years. She has a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix. Jen has been working as an addictions counselor since 2012 and is a Certified Addictions Counselor level II (CACII). She has specialized training in Trauma Dynamics focusing on body-based interventions and is passionate about helping others find joy, peace, connection to themselves and others, and overall wellness.

Larry Algiene is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado and has been practicing since 2008. Larry has a BS in Computer Information Systems from Colorado Christian University. He has a MA in Clinical and School Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado and is a Certified Addictions Counselor II. Larry has extensive experience with Parole, Probation and Correctional settings including Drug Court treatment in Weld County. Larry was a member of the Colorado Army National Guard for 17 years and specializes in CBT, DBT, Family Systems and Crisis management. Larry has been married for 15 years and spends all of his free time chasing his son and daughter.

Step down House Manager/Therapist

Megan has a Master's Degree in Somatic Counseling from Naropa University. She is a Colorado native, and has a deep passion for healing in all forms. She is inspired by a variety of holistic traditions including ancient healing modalities, the human energy system, body psychotherapy, authentic relating, and dance/movement therapy. She is grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Rose House and support women as they move through their recovery.

Utilization Review Specialist

Kristine graduated from Pepperdine University with a Master's in Clinical Psychology. Her career has given her the opportunity to work with women in domestic violence, children and families in foster care and individuals working through the struggles of addiction. Prior to working at The Rose House, Kristine's focus was in clinical utilization review and care management for behavioral health and substance abuse. Kristine is excited to work with The Rose House and be an advocate for women in recovery.

Sarah Schumacher, RN-BSN

Director of Nursing

Sarah is a Certified Clinical Herbalist from the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism as well as a Bachelor of Science of Nursing from University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She is currently completing her Master of Science Nurse Practitioner Education at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. In her private practice she specializes in anxiety, depression and insomnia. Sarah has experience working as an RN in psychiatric hospitals and community mental health organizations concerning substance abuse populations.

Sarah applies principals of Vitalist herbalism to holistic and integrative care of the whole client at Rose House. She specializes in reducing whole body inflammation and balance to the brain-gut axis, to best support the body, mind and spirit in sobriety and in total health.

Kathy was born and raised in North Carolina. She followed her brother to beautiful Boulder, CO in order to attend the University of Colorado. After receiving a BA in English, she pursued a career in sales and marketing. She discovered her passion for yoga and meditation after having children, and has been an avid practitioner and teacher for over twenty years. Being a part of The Rose House community appeals to her commitment to living a healthy and conscious lifestyle. She is excited to participate in the marketing of The Rose House, and feels that it is a wonderful place for women in recovery, integrating 12 step philosophy, creative therapeutic modalities, and experienced clinical support. In her free time, Kathy enjoys reading, biking, and cooking, as well as spending time with her husband and two adult children.

Rebecca is originally from South Dakota. She has been in Colorado now for over 20 years and grateful to live in such a beautiful place. She enjoys spending time in the mountains especially in the Fall. She feels blessed to be the mother of three beautiful children. She is currently working on her Associates in Psychology and her CAC I. In recovery herself, she knows the journey these women are embarking on and is passionate about sharing her experience, strength and hope each step of the way. In addition to supporting the women in the house, she works as the Family Coordinator to give support and resources to family members so they may better support their loved ones and themselves. Addiction and mental illness is a family disease and it is important that each member of the family get the care and support they need. She is grateful to be a part of an amazing team at the Rose House and have the chance to help other women discover what a gift they are.

A Kentucky native, Lindsey and her husband moved to beautiful Colorado in 2014 after living abroad in England for a couple years. Lindsey graduated with honors from Indiana University in 2008, a member of Psi Chi International Honor Society, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences/Psychology, and minoring in Creative Fine Arts. With nearly a decade working in behavioral health and case management, Lindsey feels honored to be a part of The Rose House and feels blessed to be able to witness women transform their lives.  In her spare time, Lindsey can be found painting, gardening and refurbishing old furniture.

Allison grew up in Morrison, Colorado, close to the beautiful Red Rocks. During her free time, she can be found outdoors - hiking, exploring and enjoying Mother Nature, or appreciating live music shows! She treasures being a mom and spending quality time with her family. Allison is working toward obtaining her CAC II. She is passionate about recovery, in Love with Life and feels blessed to be a part of the Rose House staff. Having completed the Rose House program herself, Allison is grateful for the chance to help women on their journey of recovery!

Aubrey was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and has traveled the country and ended up in beautiful Colorado. She is a mom to three sweet daughters, Cali, Leigha and Willow. In her free time she enjoys skiing, hiking, reading, and traveling. She is working on her CAC and LP certifications and plans to continue her education in counseling. Aubrey has walked through the difficult path of losing a spouse and many friends to addiction as have many of our clients and she is passionate about helping the women grow and reach a place of peace and joy in life. She has a great interest in holistic recovery and practices it daily in her life. She has dedicated her life to serve others who are in need and feels blessed to be a part of the Rose House.

Danielle Jones is a Colorado native who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2006. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Counseling from Regis University, as well as her Addictions Counselor Certification, Level II. Danielle is very grateful for her employment here at the Rose House. Her passions include fiber arts, literature, cinema, and spending time with her beloved family

Hannah plans to pursue a career in counseling or social work. She is passionate about healing, and feels privileged to be part of the Rose House. Hannah enjoys animals, reading, hiking, and sports.
